We talk with Prof Ducksun Ahn, past President of the Korean Institute of Medical Education and Evaluation, past-president of the Association for Medical Education in the Western Pacific Region and currently Vice President of the World Federation for Medical Education. He discusses the history and development of medical education in South Korea, the establishment of nation-wide accreditation, and considers the particular challenges facing medical educators in the country.
