Dr. Kvedar is Vice President of Connected Health at Partners HealthCare, and Professor of Dermatology at Harvard Medical School. He is also co-chair of the American Medical Association’s Digital Medicine Payment Advisory Group, and lead author on two recent books: The Internet of Healthy Things (2015) and The New Mobile Age: How Technology Will Extend the Lifespan and Optimise the Healthspan (2017). Dr. Kvedar talks about the subtle art of developing new healthcare technologies for an ageing population, early work on the CareSage web-based risk assessment system, and how healthcare professionals must learn to let technology do what it’s good at to free them up for those parts of medicine only humans can do.
